How is net salary calculated in Pakistan?
In Pakistan, net salary is calculated by subtracting social security contributions (EOBI + Provincial Social Security) and income tax (Income tax (salaried) FY2024-25) from the annual gross salary.
Income tax (salaried) FY2024-25 uses a progressive scale. Rates range from 0 % for the lowest incomes to 35 % for the highest. Only the portion of income that falls within each bracket is taxed at that rate, never the full salary.
EOBI + Provincial Social Security contributions amount to approximately 3 % of gross salary, funding the pension, healthcare and other social benefits available to employees in Pakistan.
This calculator uses official data from Federal Board of Revenue Pakistan (fbr.gov.pk) for 2026. Results are indicative; for exact calculations or specific situations (personal deductions, special regimes) consult a tax adviser or the country's tax authority.
Salaried income tax brackets for FY2024-25. EOBI contribution is 1% on minimum wage (capped). Provincial social security varies by province; 2% used as reference. Personal allowance is Rs 600,000/year.
