How is net salary calculated in Comoros?
In Comoros, net salary is calculated by subtracting social security contributions (CNPS (National Social Insurance Fund)) and income tax (IRPP (Personal Income Tax)) from the annual gross salary.
IRPP (Personal Income Tax) uses a progressive scale. Rates range from 0 % for the lowest incomes to 20 % for the highest. Only the portion of income that falls within each bracket is taxed at that rate, never the full salary.
CNPS (National Social Insurance Fund) contributions amount to approximately 5 % of gross salary, funding the pension, healthcare and other social benefits available to employees in Comoros.
This calculator uses official data from DGI Comoros (finances.gov.km) for 2026. Results are indicative; for exact calculations or specific situations (personal deductions, special regimes) consult a tax adviser or the country's tax authority.
The first KMF 360,000/year is exempt. The employee contributes 5% to the CNPS (pension). The employer adds 10%. The Comorian franc (KMF) is pegged to the euro (1 EUR = 491.96 KMF).
