How is net salary calculated in Kazakhstan?
In Kazakhstan, net salary is calculated by subtracting social security contributions (Mandatory pension (ENBK) + Medical insurance (OSMS)) and income tax (Individual Income Tax (IIT)) from the annual gross salary.
Individual Income Tax (IIT) uses a progressive scale. Rates range from 10 % for the lowest incomes to 10 % for the highest. Only the portion of income that falls within each bracket is taxed at that rate, never the full salary.
Mandatory pension (ENBK) + Medical insurance (OSMS) contributions amount to approximately 15,5 % of gross salary, funding the pension, healthcare and other social benefits available to employees in Kazakhstan.
This calculator uses official data from State Revenue Committee (kgd.gov.kz) for 2026. Results are indicative; for exact calculations or specific situations (personal deductions, special regimes) consult a tax adviser or the country's tax authority.
Employee contributions: mandatory pension 10%, medical OSMS 2%, and social contribution 3.5% (total ~15.5%). Income tax is a flat 10%. SS contributions reduce the taxable base.
