Figures for a 20 to under 100 A breaker, including 15% VAT. Because of the fixed charge, the increase is proportionally larger for low-consumption households. The 2027 figures come from consistent press coverage of the announcement, as we could not load the official tariff page.
Why summer bills are so much higher
Air conditioning accounts for most household electricity use in Saudi Arabia, so consumption can multiply between winter and summer. Going above 6,000 kWh a month, which large villas can reach in summer, raises the price of each extra kWh from SAR 0.18 to SAR 0.30.
